Headlining this year's Kaimoana Festival is one of the hottest nostalgia bands around having performed in South America, Australia, and extensively around New Zealand. The group comprises three artists with a look and sound that’s closer than close to the real thing. Their performance is packed with tributes to the Eagles, Freddy Mercury, the BeeGees, and the Beatles.
HURRICANE TILLY is an up and coming reggae/RnB originals band made up of some of Tauranga’s top musicians.
Several other popular performers at past Kaimoana Festival are part of this new band. Mike Hauraki on drums is an ex-member "Left Hand Break" along with Carlee Williams on keyboard and vocals. Past Kaimoana Festival solo performer, Regan Perry, is on guitar, Nelson Chase on Bass, is one of Hurricane Tilly’s most prized possessions and is undoubtedly the best bass player in the Bay
Hurricane Tilly hasn't been on the scene for long, but already the group has made a huge name for itself.
The Kaimoana Festival has a reputation for delivering an unique entertainment programme each year. With the Madsen Superstar Show we've continued to raise the bar.
